Anis Moussa commented on XALANJ-2450:
-------------------------------------
Hi Henry ,
I'm the JRockit Engineer which was handeling the memleak issue with Kristof ,
I would like just to help Kristof to deal with the issue , could you confirm
that the patched classes provided on the Bug resolution are compatible with the
release 2.4.1 of XALAN ?
Because as per the bug notes , the issue has been fixed on the release 2.7 But
once he will murge them and build the jar again , he will not find any
classcast exception or any class Not Found issue ?
Could you please just provide steps to build correctly the Xalan release
correctly with the patched classes ?
Thanks a lot
Cheers
Anis

> We are facing a Memory Leak issue on our OTM Webserver because of this issue.
> BEA Support suggested to upgrade Xalan version to 2.7 but our software OTM
> (Oracle Transportation Management) is not supporting higher version than
> Xalan 2.4.1.
> 1) The patch on Xalan 2.7 is not compatible with 2.4.1
> 2) OTM will not work with any other version of Xalan (at the
> moment) other than 2.4.1 due to a dependency on the class
> org.apache.xalan.xlstc.runtime.DefaultSAXOutputHandler which was removed as
> of 2.5.x
> 3) I am not sure if DefaultSAXOutputHandler will work with the
> latest Xalan.
