Thanks! You're right. The JDK 1.4.0-beta2 rt.jar does not contain the
IncrementalSAXSource_Xerces class.
The problem was solved by prepending the latest xerces.jar and xalan.jar
onto the bootstrap class path with the nonstandard option
"-Xbootclasspath/p:".
