xalan-2.0.0 vs xalan-2.3.1 the parameter "-param" is not working in 2.3.1

Hello,

I upgraded from 2.00 to 2.3.1 because I wanted to use an absolute path for
-xsl 

now that works, but I cannot use the -param option anymore ..

something known about this?
