Hi Tom, Robert, all,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I'll do an investation at the different options and work from there on.
The "Enable Server Ports" looks like a very interesting option.
I just did a quick check. It works (even in ipv6 :-) ) and as the port
is bind to all addresses, which means that I should be able to send the
LoRa data directly from/to the ESP32 on the LoRa radio to the xastir
server over wifi.
Nice.
I'll give it a try and see how it goes.
Thx :-)

Hi Jason, Tom, David, all,
As I understand it correctly, the interfaces in xastir are designed for
AX.25, so I guess that is a problem.
Am I correct to assume that, even if I would implement the KISS protocol
(which is the easiest one to do), that still would not work as xastir still
expect AX.25 data on top of that.
Is this correct?
Probably not.
I should clarify that "probably not" --- what I meant was that it was probably
not a problem, and assuming it wouldn't work is probably not correct. I
think it *could* be made to work without much trouble.
On the other hand, the idea you had about using APRS-IS is probably better,
and the thing I suggested about just leveraging Xastir's server port is probably
something you could code up *very* quickly.
