On Tue, Nov 14, 2006 at 07:35:17AM -0800, we recorded a bogon-computron collision of the <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> flavor, containing: > > *) Should we continue to use the "--without-shapelib" flag to force > Xastir to use the internal library, or an enable flag like > "--with-internal-shapelib"?
The --without-shapelib deal was meant to be a temporary way of allowing us to enable/disable internal shapefile support, not as a long-term deal. It was also very easy to co-opt that existing option to slam in the feature. We should definitely change it before doing a stable release. > *) Should we add text the configure final output and perhaps the > Help->About text to show that we're using the internal library? > > Something like: > > Building with ShapeLib ..................... : yes (internal) Yes, that would be nice. -- Tom Russo KM5VY SAR502 DM64ux http://www.swcp.com/~russo/ Tijeras, NM QRPL#1592 K2#398 SOC#236 AHTB#1 http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?DDTNM "And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway?
