I would sure like this. I work several of these type events and the guy who coordinates a good share of them is a die hard UiView nut. I say nut because I still believe using software supported by a dead guy isn't all that smart... LOL

I'm guessing you will use Perl but since I don't know it very well I can't really offer to help much.

Perhaps it's worth someone (me?!?) creating a script that will convert a UIView pos file to a GNIS file. If I get additional information needed I will work on it. But time is running short, the Angel Ride is this weekend and I am participating on Sunday, so I don't have much time to work through this. And there may be light reading on the list because it's a holiday weekend. I'll share what I get when I get there.

After you convert your file to your use, would you please send it to me. I'm struggling to make the format work correctly. I'm also not sure where to put the file, I'm guessing it goes in the maps folder but maybe not.... someone?

If you don't get it working with GNIS just put all the data in the object.log that seemed to work good for me. You can see my results here;http://kaiserklan.com/snapshot.png Of course I do have a bit too much detail left on the map but I'm working on that too.
