Or, even better:
env LANG=C xastir&
which will make the LANG=C setting only for the process that is running Xastir,
instead of every shell command from that point forward in that shell.
But it's still not working
Just for the record, I have now 2 test computers in front of me, one
with Mint and one with Ubuntu, both with fresh installation this
afternoon and they act exactly the same :-(
