This is not a "language fix" it's a hack that might have other consequences.
As I said, in the past I found that sometimes setting "LANG" to "C" also
caused problems in dialog boxes (at the time, I believe it was the 
object modification dialog that was frustrating me).  It might be why
some folks here are having trouble in message creation dialogs.

This points to a deeper problem with how the code was modified to handle 
Greek, and that code needs to be reviewed and fixed.  It also points to
a deeper problem with how Xastir depends on the locale settings.
