I must have missed this one.

1. Give aprx a callsign-SSID - e.g. F4ACU-3 *
2. Give Xastir a different callsign-SSID - e.g. F4ACU (implies F4ACU-0)  *
  *  They need to be different to steer incoming traffic to the right program. 3. Give axports a callsign-SSID (e.g. F4ACU-4) OR an alias, with or with out a SSID - e.g. I used to use KEMPC-1, KEMPC-2, etc (my town was Kempsey) in axports.  Kernel AX25 only uses the axport's configured callsign with tools like "call" (axcall) and beacons, and TCP/IP if that is configured in kissattach. Using an alias-SSID may not be legal in some countries.

I used multiple programs sharing ax25 ports for years with my big packet BBS/Node system and it works well. I used alias-SSID in axports because I'd run out of callsign-SSID combinations.

I'm pretty sure you can set it up like you want. I went to start up xastir on
my pi3 and for some strange reason it won't run so I can't look at my settings
for you. To keep the clutter on the map down, I only used xastir to display
what my station hears, it never beaconed, aprx did that.

Hi all,

Maybe a "stupid" question ?

On a Linux computer, I now run Aprx full-digipeater F4ACU-3 (defined
like this with "mycall") with one AX25 port defined as F4ACU-3 in
/etc/ax25/axports and I want to add a graphical view with, of course,
Xastir.
I know it is possible to use multiple programs with the same AX25 port,
what I want to do.

In this case, how should I configure Xastir for "mycall" parameter ?
-> if I use F4ACU-3, this callsign will be both for Aprx and Xastir. Not
really good.
-> is it possible to use F4ACU-0 with AX25 port defined as "F4ACU-3" ?

Thanks for your help !
