After comparing WORLDHI.MAP and world.pdb, the former is more colorful, has more bits of land in the northern Canada area, and has the U.S. state borders and great lakes described. The latter is missing those extra bits of land, is one color, and has a diagonal line running through Canada. At least in Xastir it shows that. I'm going to reverse my earlier thought: We'd be better off going with WORLDHI.MAP even though it is quite a bit larger. Can someone track down the originator of the Worldhi.map file (perhaps Bob Bruninga) and ask? If we can use it, let's do so. I wouldn't mind adding one world map to the CVS sources as long as it's 250k or less and compresses well. We can always replace it later should we find something we like better.
