They took a disk hit and the last time I heard, were NOT back up. I'll
try to call again on Monday. I wanted to suck his maps down to
aprs.tamu.edu, where we've plenty of disk space now to host maps. It's
an anonymnous FTP away.

But xastir.tamu.edu is the site where maps were being hosted (TIGER, etc.).
Since Richard mentions Gerry in his note, I imagine that's what he was
looking for, not the xastir home page.
