Forgot to mention how I stick to the powers-of-two zoom levels: Zoom all the way in to zoom 1 using whatever method (I use the PageDown key). Use the PageUp/PageDown keys to zoom, and the arrow keys to pan around. You can also use the Map Bookmarks to go to a particular place again and again, increasing your chance of hitting a cached map. Also the "Home" key now takes you home (your station location will be at the center of the map). Insert/Delete/End keys aren't currently mapped in Xastir. -- Curt, WE7U. archer at eskimo dot com http://www.eskimo.com/~archer Lotto: A tax on people who are bad at math. - unknown Windows: Microsoft's tax on computer illiterates. - WE7U.
