Hi Curt, and hi all... I really don't know whether this is all worth it. It might be better to put uiview32 on Xp in VirtualBox. Did the cvs update -P -d, that got me through till it barfed on the xfontsel. Installed that, and got a clean build, but no raster maps. WHAT??? Took out GraphicsMagick stuff, re-did from start with ./config showing ImageMagick, same - no raster maps. Went back to older tarball setup, bootstrap, ./configure there still shows GraphicsMagick - WHAT AGAIN??? su, make install... thought it might just install the older binary, but NO - it made a new one (AND MADE AS ROOT - though that doesn't seem to matter, it probably does). Bang goes the neighbourhood - can't even put an old one in now. Us dummies get used to doing make, then make install as root to _just_ put things where they ought to be.
Going to bed... 73 de ZL2DEX On Sat, 2008-08-02 at 14:41 -0700, Curt, WE7U wrote: > On Sat, 2 Aug 2008, Dexter N Muir wrote: > > > Now trying a CVS build, trying to get Station / Fetch Findu Trail to > > work, following Curt's keystrokes (Mandriva 2008.1 here, and Konqueror), > > Magick fails again - put in libgraphicsmagick1 and its dependencies > > libraphicsmagick-devel and libgraphicsmagickwand. > > You should only need graphicsmagick and graphicsmagick-devel > packages, but then again I don't run GM on Mandriva so they might > have packaged things differently. > > > > db.o: In function `alert_data_add': > > /home/dexy/Unzipped/xastir/xastir/src/db.c:1460: undefined reference to > > `alert_build_list' > > main.o: In function `UpdateTime': > > /home/dexy/Unzipped/xastir/xastir/src/main.c:10717: undefined reference > > to `alert_expire' > > Something really strange is going on.
