I did everything you suggested here Curt, removed every trace of
LessTif I could find from my machine. Installed OpenMotif-2.1.32-22i
into usr/ and then ran the following;
./configure --prefix=/sw --with-rtree --with-bdb-incdir=/sw/include/
db4 --with-bdb-libdir=/sw/lib
I even rebooted after. But I still don't have menu names in Timing.
It is very likely it is because I don't know how to do some things as
well as I should;
1) How do I make sure that LessTif is completely gone from my system,
what would be the Unix entry to do this?
2) Is the ./configure I use above OK or should I modify it in some
way, I have to admit I really don't know what that does, I suspect it
does exactly what it says "configure"'s Xastir. But for example it
does not turn map caching on and somewhere I was given this ./
configure to do that.
3) Should I be running GraphicsMagick or imageMagick?
All that said, when Xastir comes up this is what it says in the About
dialog box;
Xastir V1.9.4

Thanks for any advise you care to share.
