Is anyone using Mandriva 2008.1 spring with xastir? If so, any hints? Or,
would I be better off with Ubuntu?

I was up until a week or so ago when I decided to play around with
DreamLinux. Xastir on Mandriva worked fine for me. 2008.1 did have a
glitch during install with ImageMagick that I didn't see in 2008.0,
but the work-around was easy. I have also seen postings indicating
that GraphicsMagick has a problem, but because I was using
ImageMagick, I never saw it. The HowTo for Mandriva is up to date in
the Xastir Wiki covering version 2008.1 including the use of
ImageMagick.

Thanks, Lee. I looked for a how-to, but somehow I must have missed it.
I am always a little leary of rpm based distros...heard too many stories
about Fedora. Do I gather correctly that I don't necessarily have to use
cvs?
