This is only run if the user brings up the Player Controls (which in Ellipsis
also uses for Media Shortcuts, System Info and the Skin's News) but if need be
I'm sure we can add an enable/disable option.

The only choice here is to either remove the functionality from the skin or put
the script in. This skin is for Dharma, and Dharma has no such <feed>
capability. Can the user disable this in the skin?
OT: Agreed that some sort of a news feed might be a nice addition to the addons
system, though I think it would need some sort of page to aggregate all such
feeds. After all, we don't want to overwhelm the user with a bunch of
information that they may not care about.
