Thanks for the explanation, now it makes sense!
@Martijn/Ronie,
Please use the below SVN link for the skin’s update:
*addon – skin.titan
*version – 3.0.1
*url -
https://subversion.assembla.com/svn/xbmc-skin-titan/trunk/skin.titan.helix
*xbmc version – helix
You can just get the latest version, revision 89.
As for the Gotham version:
*addon – skin.titan
*version – 2.0.24
*url - https://subversion.assembla.com/svn/xbmc-skin-titan/trunk/skin.titan
*xbmc version – gotham
Thanks!
Regards,
Marcel

they use the same repos, however it will always take the highest version.
So if you make sure that the addon version for Helix one is higher than Gotham
it is safe to have the same ID.
You cannot use the same xbmc.gui in the addon.xml however so you must submit it
separate.
so it can be
Gotham skin.titan 2.0.0 xbmc.gui 5.0.1
Helix skin.titan 3.0.0 xbmc.gui 5.3.0
(as long as skin.titan version is higher in helix)
As for the compatibility that's up to ronie which we have talked about already
:)

Hi Martijn,
In fact I made my whole skin compatible with both Gotham AND Helix, the only
difference is the addon.xml file which contains a different xbmc.gui reference.
So I don’t want to use that second name but I made the assumption that I can
not use the same skin for both Gotham and Helix as they’re using the same repo.
What should I do ? Can I just that newer reference to xbmc.gui in the “normal”
addon.xml file and it’s okay ?

Marcel

sorry to barge in but why do you name it skin.titan.helix ?
That would cause people who use skin.titan in Gotham and upgrade to Helix have
to redo everything again.
They end up with a broken skin and have to install yet another one.
Keeping same ID will make sure it's seemless from Gotham to Helix (unless you
redid a lot of setting names)
