January 26, 2001
CURRENT WEATHER: Temps. in low 20s. Light snow about 2-4" expected.
FORECAST: Temps in low to mid 20s. Continued chance for light snow on Sat.
ABR TRAILS - Ironwood, MI
All trails groomed on 1/25. Trails are groomed daily. Conditions: Excellent.
AFTERHOURS SKI TRAIL - Brule River State Forest - Brule, WI
Groomed on 1/26 with about 2" new snow. The Trail is in excellent shape! .
AMERICAN BIRKEBEINER TRAIL - Cable/Seeley/Hayward, WI
To be groomed on 1/26. Conditions: Excellent.
ASHLAND SKI TRAIL - Ashland, WI
The trail has been groomed and tracked and in good condition.
BALSAM BRANCH CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAILS - Amery, WI
Groomed 1/18. Conditions: Excellent.
BEAVER BROOK SKI TRAIL - Spooner, WI
Groomed on 1/15. Conditions: Good. Due to erosion from logging, this ski area will have minimum grooming for classic skiing. Ski jouring, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing are permited, but please respect the tracks.
BLUE HILLS TRAIL - Bruce, WI
The entire trail system was groomed Tuesday, January 16 for both skating and striding. The skating lane was rolled and re-textured Thursday morning, January 18. Conditions continued to be very good.
COON LAKE TRAIL - Fredric, WI
Groomed 1/15. Conditions: Very Good.
COPPER FALLS STATE PARK - Mellen, WI
To be groomed on 1/27 after new snow. Some trails closed due to fallen trees from windstorms earlier this year. Conditions: Good .
DOUGLAS COUNTY SKI TRAIL - Solon Springs, WI
Groomed on 1/24. Conditions: Good with some new snow.
DRUMMOND SKI TRAILS - Drummond, WI
Groomed and tracked on 1/23. Conditions: Excellent.

Not recently groomed, but there is light snow over old tracks. Conditions: Fair.
LADYSMITH HIGH SCHOOL LIGHTED XC TRAIL - Ladysmith, WI
The LHS Trail had full grooming or texturing of the skate lane on January 17, 19, and 21. Conditions are excellent for skating and very good for striding. The lights are on from dusk until 10:00 p.m.
LEISURE LAKE TRAIL - Trego, WI
Groomed and track set on 1/21. Conditions: Good.
LOG JAM TRAIL - Phillips, WI
Groomed on /19 . Conditions: Excellent.

MECCA Trails are in excellent shape.... flat, firm and fast... 20k track set and 12K perfect for skating....with 12+" base the skating trails are the widest yet this year 10-14'

Groomed and tracked regularly or after 4" of new snow. Conditions: Excellent.
MT. VALHALLA VALKYRIE AND TEUTON SKI TRAILS - Washburn, WI
Trails groomed 1/26. Conditions: Excellent.
MT. ASHWABAY SKI TRAILS - Bayfield, WI
All trails groomed on 1/26 and 27. Four inches of new snow . Conditions: Very Good.
MUKWONAGO SKI TRAIL - Hayward, WI
Groomed on 1/19. Skating: Excellent; Classical: Good.

Groomed and tracked 1/26. Conditions: Excellent.

TELEMARK SKI TRAILS - Cable, WI
All trails groomed and in good to excellent condition.
A shuttle service is available leaving Telemark at 11:00am. on Saturday morning, and arriving at 00 at 11:30. The driver waits until 11:45 before heading back up to Telemark.
TIMBERLAND HILLS SKI TRAILS - Cumberland, WI
All trails were groomed on 1/19 after 3-4" new snow. Trails in good condition.
TIMM'S HILL/HIGHPOINT SKI TRAILS - Ogema, WI
Groomed and tracked on Jan. 24 and scheduled to be groomed again on 1/26. Conditions: Excellent.
TOMAHAWK LAKE SKI TRAIL - Barnes, WI
Groomed and tracked late Tuesday, Jan. 23.
TOTOGATIC TRAIL - Minong, WI
