I have skied at Cherokee South this winter and love it. It's not a
large tract of land to ski on and the sewage plant has a certain odor to
it. However, I find it to be a lovely ski experience. There is enough
diversity in the landscape and enough choice of trails to do multiple loops
and enjoy the scenery and workout. It is less than 5 minutes from where I
live and is not overly used. I hope it stays that way. Plus, it is groomed
regularly, for classical only.

I find that I can ski there in the dark without too much difficulty.
The amount of city light reflected back down plus allowing the eyes to
adjust makes it possible to make out the trail. I would not advocate this
to a large degree but I find that skiing there at night is a small risk.
Considering the busyness of my daily schedule, I have a hard time getting
out during the weekdays so skiing at night works for me. I don't have to
drive a great distance to Elver and I don't have to fight the crowds.

Please post this to the group. I've had difficulty lately in posting my
messages. Some helpful hints regarding this would be appreciated.

It's snowing today. Time to wax up and play.
