As the de facto MadNorSki meteorologist, I must sadly report that
there's only a small chance that we'll have adequate snow cover
to groom the course for the Tuesday night race. A series of weak
"Alberta clipper" systems should start to move across the region
next week -- these systems usually don't produce more than 1-3
inches, but if we can get 2 or 3 of these systems in a row,
we'd have a marginally groom-able snow pack. The computer forecast
models (if you believe such things) have the first clipper arriving
late Tuesday or Wednesday...so maybe we'll get lucky for the Jan 8th
Elver race? A stronger system the following weekend might
put us in better shape for the next Elver race on Jan 15th.

I'll join Madeline et al though for a pole jog at Elver
next Tuesday night!

-Scott, who thinks that roller skiing in January in Wisconsin
        should be illegal
