This being a ski list and assuming we aren't busy skiing, I'd like to use this forum for a couple of quick gear questions. I hope this doesn't offend anyone. And if it does, do like Kay and just delete it.
I am traveling to Colorado next week and cannot find a Nordic bag locally to hold 3 pairs of skis and 2-3 sets of poles. Does anyone have one I could possibly borrow, or know of a place I could buy one?
Also, I am baffled about skating pole length. I am 5' 6" and am told pole length should be anywhere from 145 cm - 153. Clearly my new 155's are too long but I am not comfortable talking to the retail personnel who pull out their Fisher guide which says one length while Rossi says another and the rep isn't certain either. Because of the way they are glued I will likely destroy the cork grips in the process so I'd like to get it right the first time. Any tips? I am an intermediate skier.
