The best option for skiing in the region right now is at ABR Trails and Wolverine Nordic in Ironwood, MI. Both are open and pretty much fully operational, having benefited from several major lake effect storms over the past two weeks. TELEMARK RESORT The new XC Fever Trail will be open on Saturday, Dec. 7. This is a 2km, manmade-snow loop. It's not a golf course type loop by any means. LAKE SKIING Most area lakes are frozen and have 1-4 inches of snow. There is snow on the ground from Hayward north. Most trails do not yet have adequate snow to groom.
