Make sure the dependancies of the drivers (if any) are also in the
initrd. Also make sure they are in the correct order. Unless something
has changed, they get turned into "insmod <module>" commands and insmod
itself isn't smart enough to know if you have to load a dependant module
first or not.

Let me know how it goes, Mark.

James :)

recognized

According to xcatconfig this is version 2.3.1. It is an inherited
cluster that I have been tasked with cleaning up. After some research I
found that I wasn't including all the drivers necessary in the genimage
line. However this has not solved the issue:

I am using the following commands to generate the stateless image:

genimage -i eth0 -n aufs,bnx2,igb,libphy,loop,squashfs,tg3 -o centos5.6
-p compute_cent56
packimage -p compute_cent56 -a x86_64 -o centos5.6 -m squashfs

Once again I have checked the initrd and the drivers exist in
$ROOOTIMG/lib. I still receive the same error using eth0 or eth1.

Mark,

You don't say what version of xCAT you are using. From a similar topic
back in July 2.5.2 was OK, 2.6.0 was broken
2.6.1 fixed the issue again...
