Not sure if the stuck postbootscript is the cause of the problem but
after a fresh re-instal the node lacks a file called /var/log/xcat/xcat.log and 
in /tmp/wget.log contains the following insteresting bit:

ftp://192.168.14.116/post/otherpkgs/gpfs_updates/*.rpm
           => `.listing'
Connecting to 192.168.14.116:21... connected.
Logging in as anonymous ... Logged in!
==> SYST ... done.    ==> PWD ... done.
==> TYPE I ... done.  ==> CWD /post/otherpkgs/gpfs_updates ... 
No such directory `post/otherpkgs/gpfs_updates'.

unlink: No such file or directory


This is called from the postinstall script and it looks like the arguments
containing $osver and $arch have not been passed.

This is using a customized template and profile I have named p7-compute
to distinguish it from the existing compute profile. Is any thing I should
have done when creating the profile to make sure these variables are set 
correctly?
