SLES 11 SP2 support is still in need of more testing, but we would like to understand your problem. xcatd must be down. service xcatd stop to be sure and ps -ef | grep xcatd to make sure no processes are running.
Then run /opt/xcat/sbin/xcatd -f and see if any errors, If no errors in another window run tabdump site. Lissa K. Unable to open socket connection to xcatd daemon on localhost:3001. Verify that the xcatd daemon is running and that your SSL setup is correct. Connection failure: IO::Socket::INET6: socket: Address family not supported by protocol at /opt/xcat/lib/perl/xCAT/Client.pm line 187. I tried with one virtual machine on my laptop, it works perfectly. Not sure what is going wrong. Please let me know if any of you come across this problem and were able to resolve.
