The two bugs we know about are documented in our release notes, see link
below. The first SF defect 3156, you would only hit if it were a new
install of 2.7.5, not an upgrade. There is an fix file attached to the
defect with instructions, if you want to try it. There is another defect
3133 which covers "rvitals command on system p with option "lcds" " but
only if you put an lpar in the range that does not exist on the CEC.
There is also an efix attached for that condition. Could you give us a
little more information about the conditions where "I was told that this
is a bug in xCAT, ie. xCAT does not report the correct active firmware
level."? Is this a documented bug?

Subject: [xcat-user] rflash on CEC failing because not recognizing
            frame's new power code

xCAT version 2.7.5
P7-IH
Linux RHEL 6.2

I recently rflash'd to all my frames a new power code firmware level (118).
Various xCAT commands (like rinv) do not report that 118 is the active
level. They are showing a 2-revs-ago level (092) as the active level.
Although, if I dig down to a slightly lower level and run the lslic command
from the HMC, it shows 118 as the active level. I was told that this is a
bug in xCAT, ie. xCAT does not report the correct active firmware level.

Unfortunately, because of this, when I try to rflash a new firmware out to
my CECs, the rflash command fails with the following output:
f01c03: New Managed System level for f01c03 is not compatible with
current Power Subsystem level 02AP730_092 on frame01.
Power Subsystem level 02AP730_116 or later is required.
The rflash is erroneously seeing the frame's power level as 092, rather
than the correct 118, and thus is terminating because it doesn't see a
frame power level of 116+.

How do I get around this? How can I force rflash to do the CEC firmware
update and not worry about the frame's firmware level?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
