Hi folks,

Trying to use the GPFS 3.5.0.7 HPC Software Kit with xCAT 2.8 from yum,
I've already installed it by hand on a node to build the compatibility
layer and copied that back, but when I try to do the addpkgs it seems
to look for a non-existent RPM:

[root@barcoo-m 3.5.0.7]# buildkit addpkgs
GPFS_xCATkit-3.5.0.7-x86_64-Linux.NEED_PRODUCT_PKGS.tar.bz2 --pkgdir $PWD
ls: cannot access /install/ibmlpp/gpfs/3.5.0.7/gpfs.base-3.5.0-7.x86_64.rpm: No
such file or directory
The product package file gpfs.base-3.5.0-7.x86_64.rpm could not be read from
the package directory /install/ibmlpp/gpfs/3.5.0.7.

The RPM it is looking for isn't available to customers such as
ourselves, we need to install gpfs.base-3.5.0-3.x86_64.rpm and then
install an RPM called gpfs.base-3.5.0-7.x86_64.update.rpm instead.

I've been speaking to our IBM GPFS expert on site and he's recommended
I ask here as to his eyes it does look like it's not going to work for
customers.

Any ideas?

cheers!
Chris
