Hi, I am trying to install a Test Cluster on VMware ESX machines with xCAT 2.8.1 using Scientific Linux 6.3 for management and client nodes. DHCP works fine and when booting a client I am able to load genesis.kernel.x86_64 and genesis.fs.x86_64.lzma via tftp. Next i see the following Error:
FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi- cpufreq.ko): No such device /bin/doxcat: line 10: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor: No such file or directory Waiting for device with address 00:50:56:aa:xx:xx to appear..Done Generating private key Done Acquiring network addresses..Acquired IPv4 address on eth0: 10.100.0.3/16 /bin/doxcat/ line 143: standby: command not found /bin/doxcat/ line 143: standby: command not found /bin/doxcat/ line 143: standby: command not found /bin/doxcat/ line 143: standby: command not found I tried to change bootparameter to deactivate acpi, but with no effect (I did: nodech node001 bootparams.addkcmdline=acpi=off) Probably the error is correlated to using VMware, I can not activate Enhanced Intel Speed Step on the virtual machines BIOS -------------------------- TU Kaiserslautern RHRK Gebäude 34 Raum 315.1 Paul-Ehrlich-Straße 67663 Kaiserslautern Telefon +49 631 205 3074 E-Mail: <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] --------------------------
