Could you give me the full lsdef of the node and the lsdef of the osimage?
I did try it on 2.7.7 and it worked. There was only one change in that
code for 2.7.7 in defect https://sourceforge.net/p/xcat/bugs/3412/ but
that was not a fix for your problem.

ok, that makes sense. However, it still seems to be ignoring the
postscripts applied to the osimage.

It's definitely only running the xcatdefaults postscripts, both during
install and updatenode -V -P. The scripts don't appear
in /xcatpost/mypostscript either.

      You will not see them listed on the lsdef of the node. Only on the

      after reading that, I still wasn't clear:

      # lsdef -t osimage <imagename>
      postscripts=<all the postscripts I want to run>

      but after
      #nodeset n1 osimage=<imagename>

      postscripts=<only xcatdefaults>

            The issue doesn't even get that far, as:

            # lsdef -t osimage <imagename>
            postscripts=<all the postscripts I want to run>

            but after nodeset n1 osimage=<imagename>
            postscripts=<only xcatdefaults>

            so xCAT isn't even trying to run the postscripts.

                  Go on the node and look in /xcatpost/mypostscript file.
                  Is you postscript in the list at the bottom.

                  If the setup above it correct, the try

                  In verbose mode you will see each postscript as it is
                  run.

                  Hi,

                  I've got a couple of machines running xCAT 2.7.6 on
                  iDataPlex, and I'm
                  moving to osimage provisioning for new images.

                  I've configured the osimage definitions, including
                  postscripts/postbootscripts - they appear under lsdef -t
                  osimage
                  <imagename>. However, when I nodeset a node which was
                  previously
                  provisioned under the old method, the install works, but
                  the postscripts
                  aren't applied, and its only picking up the xcatdefaults.

                  Is there something that I'm missing, some old bit of
                  config which is
                  overriding it?
