Dear XCAT - users,
Our team is trying XCAT on IBM-AIX 7.
We have installed the XCAT management node software in an LPAR (Logical
Partition) . Usually, the XCAT management node installs cluster nodes over
other LPAR's.
Currently, I cannot create LPAR on server as storage disks are full, is it
feasible for XCAT to provision images over/on the existing LPAR, say in a
WPAR (Workload Partition) ?
Kindly go through the XCAT forum post , where Mr. Bruce clarified that its
not possible to try with XCAT to install images on WPAR, within the same
LPAR.
We like to know, if there is any other possibility of using XCAT to
provision virtual images over the existing LPAR.
