Jarrod,
I don't either. It had to be either firmware update or BOMC/toolscenter
that did it, since I know it was working fine before the update, I used
rpower after nodeset to toolscenter to reboot the nodes for the firmware
update. I confirmed that setting suite #2 back on resolved the issue. So,
beats me what happened there.
    I located perl-Crypt-CBCD in epel, but can't find perl-Crypt-Rijndael
in epel or the xCAT repo. What's the best place to get it from, and do I
need to do anything to enable it in xCAT?

    Thanks,
        -Brad

I'm not sure why an update would have disabled cipher suite 2. You can
either turn it back on (ipmitool lan set 1 cipher_privs XaaaXXXXXXXXXXX) or
install on the management node(s) perl-Crypt-Rijndael/perl-Crypt-CBC.

One thing I noted between M3 nodes I've flashed and nodes I haven't is, the
flashed nodes have Ciper Suite 2 disabled:

Flashed to 1.41 M3 node:

RMCP+ Cipher Suites : 1,2,3,4
Cipher Suite Priv Max : XXaaXXXXXXXXXXX

Older 1.30 M3 node:

RMCP+ Cipher Suites : 1,2,3,4
Cipher Suite Priv Max : XaaaXXXXXXXXXXX

I'm not sure how I enable Cipher Suites in the IMM, I'll look through the
manual and see if that solves the problem. If someone else knows, please
post :).

Can you do an ipmitool lan print 1 on the system?

IMM firmware update.

All,
I have a rack of IBM iDataplex dx360M3 nodes that we just transitioned
from RHEL 5.4 to 6.4. During that process I used BOMC to update the
firmware on the IMM from 1.30 to 1.41. After the firmware update, none of
the "r" commands work in xCAT for my M3 nodes:

# rinv c5u3 vpd
c5u3: Error: No cipher suite match with proposed security algorithms
c5u3: Error: No cipher suite match with proposed security algorithms
c5u3: Error: No cipher suite match with proposed security algorithms
c5u3: Error: No cipher suite match with proposed security algorithms
c5u3: Error: No cipher suite match with proposed security algorithms
c5u3: Error: timeout

But work fine for my M4 nodes:

# rinv c6u3 vpd
c6u3: System Description: iDataPlex dx360 M4
c6u3: System Model/MTM: 7912AC1
c6u3: System Serial Number:
c6u3: Chassis Serial Number:
c6u3: Device ID: 32
c6u3: Manufacturer ID: IBM (20301)
c6u3: BMC Firmware: 3.36 (1AOO48Q 2013/10/07 12:05:38)
c6u3: Product ID: 353

I've confirmed the ipmitool-xcat bundled tool works fine:

# /opt/xcat/bin/ipmitool-xcat -H c5u32-bmc -U USERID -P REMOVED chassis
status
System Power : on
Power Overload : false
Power Interlock : inactive
Main Power Fault : false
Power Control Fault : false
Power Restore Policy : previous
Last Power Event :
Chassis Intrusion : inactive
Front-Panel Lockout : inactive
Drive Fault : false
Cooling/Fan Fault : false

Any idea what could be wrong?

   Thanks,
       -Brad Viviano
