Hi Damir,
grub2-xcat is a package from xcat-dep, we have built it on rh7 which
may be used on rh5. Since RedHat 5.x are longer supported by xCAT, you can
build your own grub2-xcat package on the rhels 5.3 machine. And then
install it by hand. Then upgrade xCAT.

Subject: [xcat-user] problem upgrading xCAT from 2.7.3 to 2.9.1
Hi,
On our very old management node running RedHat 5.3 we tried doing an
upgrade from xCAT 2.7.3 to 2.9.1. We are planning to retire this
management node later this weeks so this upgrade was part of the process.
However, upgrade has failed with the following error message(s):
Running rpm_check_debug
ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve:
rpmlib(FileDigests) is needed by
grub2-xcat-2.02-0.16.el7.snap201506090204.noarch
rpmlib(PayloadIsXz) is needed by
