Hi,
Couldn't find anything more recent than a 2011 discussion on this
mailing list:
http://sourceforge.net/p/xcat/mailman/message/27647747/

Is there any development in the area? I'd like to integrate the pdu info
into xcat db
1. use pdu as 2nd tier oob power command (beyoned ipmi)
2. use pdu as 1st tier power command for switches/IB switches and the like
3. use pdu port metrics as complement to ipmi produced power usage metrics

I would have liked the ability to add a pdu/port to the lsdef of a node
(like the bmc/ipmi nic)

I'd rather not use powerman when I can get all the info from snmp, and
anyway logically I don't see much difference between a communication
switch and a power switch - they both map ports to compute nodes.
So I'm wondering - can I build on top of the existing switch management
infrastructure (i.e. tables switch and switches) and either add the PDUs
directly to the existing tables or create 2 new tables (pdu-switch,
pdu-switches).

What do you think? Or is this issue already solved and I missed it?
