Hi folks,

I've had reason to go through the NeXtScale wiki page here:

http://sourceforge.net/p/xcat/wiki/XCAT_NeXtScale_Clusters/

and I've noticed a couple of omissions that could be addressed simply.

The first is that there's no mention of doing:

makedhcp -n

to configure DHCP correctly (after makedns might be a good place).

Secondly there's no mention of setting up a chain for node discovery to
program the BMCs, perhaps adding:

chain='runcmd=bmcsetup,shell'

to the chdef for the ipmi group might be a good thing.

For us we do:

chdef -t group ipmis mgt=ipmi cons=ipmi mgt=ipmi bmcport="0" bmc='/\z/-imm/'
serialport=0 serialspeed=115200 serialflow=hard chain='runcmd=bmcsetup,shell'
ondiscover=nodediscover

to configure our systems - though note that the group there is called
ipmis for shared ipmi (we have a separate impid group for dedicated
IPMI adapters).

Hope this is useful!

All the best,
Chris
