Did you try “dhcpinterfaces” in the site table? See my thread from this past July 27 entitled:
“Is there a way to add outside subnets to dhcpd.conf?” From: John Keenleyside [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, October 4, 2015 9:48 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [xcat-user] how to handle multiple subnets In my environment, each rack of machines is in its own subnet. I have xCAT management node installed in rack 1 which uses subnet 1. I can install machines in this rack with no problem. Now I am trying to install machines in a second rack with subnet 2 using the xCAT management node located in rack1/subnet1. The networks table has both subnets defined in it. However, makedhcp -n is only generating a definition for subnet1 in the dhcpd.conf file. The dhcp server gives an unknown network segment error when a dhcpdiscover comes in from rack2. So I need to have subnet2 defined as well in the dhcpd.conf file. How do I do this? Is it possible for the xCAT management node to install servers in multiple subnets? Does anyone have a working example they could describe or share ? Thanks, John Keenleyside
