Thank you, Jarrod and Thomas Thomas, I have tried adding
"my node", "my switch","1/X",,,, That does not work... What is interesting is that on the Dell Switches where the ifName comes back as GigabitEthernet 0/X it works in our production environment when we put in "my node", "my switch","GigabitEthernet 0/X",,,, On the new switches which do NOT work we have this from snmpwalk : IF-MIB::ifName.2100099 = STRING: GigabitEthernet 1/24 On the old switches which DO work we have from snmpwalk: IF-MIB::ifName.44876802 = STRING: GigabitEthernet 0/42 Now of course I am assuming that this is all that has changed. Jarrod, I hope that answers your question as to what ifName reports on the old vs new. Also, I have snmpwalked all of the OIDs listed in MacMap.pm. They seem to work the same on old vs new dell switches... Thomas, does that mean I have to mess around with the namesmatch function in MacMap.pm? Again, thank you very much Gabriel ******************************************************************************** Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, Government of Victoria, Victoria, Australia.
