I don’t see anything there as to the format of nodehm or noderes lines. I need to know what to put in place of “ipmi” for the power and console fields, since ipmitool doesn’t work on these nodes.
Could someone please send me the output of lsdef —osimage <power9_node> so I can see what is needed and what I’m missing? > On Sep 24, 2018, at 9:45 AM, Mark Gurevich <gurev...@us.ibm.com> wrote: > > David, > Have you looked at this section of the doc ? > https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/admin-guides/manage_clusters/ppc64le/index.html > > <https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/admin-guides/manage_clusters/ppc64le/index.html> > > Mark Gurevich > Poughkeepsie Development Lab > HPC Software Development - xCAT > > "If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would > it?" > --Albert Einstein > > > > <graycol.gif>David Johnson ---09/21/2018 01:06:04 PM---We are trying out two > power9 systems, which come with petitboot, one with traditional ipmi, the othe > > From: David Johnson <david_john...@brown.edu> > To: xCAT Users Mailing list <xcat-user@lists.sourceforge.net> > Date: 09/21/2018 01:06 PM > Subject: [xcat-user] sample configuration for power9 nodes for netboot > > > > > We are trying out two power9 systems, which come with petitboot, one with > traditional ipmi, the other with openbmc. > Can anyone offer a quick start to the tables I would have to configure in > xcat to get these to netboot (rhel7.x). > Presumably noderes, nodehm, nodelist.
