Hello,

I'll try to sum up here (sorry for the new thread) the quesions I have left about nics in a stateless mode after some (unsuccessfull) tests and posts.

Basically, in a context where nodes have more than one nic on wich they can PXE boot and only one you want to be configured once provisionned, you'd like to dissociate the nic used to PXE and the nic once the node discovered and netbooted. One among the several reasons for that would be to get immune to bios PXE ordering.

I searched in the direction of noderes.installnic or nics.nicips attributes, confignics postscript or a combination of those.

As a matter of fact, othewise, xNBA boot will "follow" (via BOOTIF passed to initrd) whatever nic first succeed (in bios order) PXE'ing and the node will end up beeing netbooted and configured on the nic which initially did PXE.

I couldn't fully figure out what to do or how to do it.

Which of these attribute should I use and how ? Do they need to work in combination with confignics or any other postscipts ?

A related question would be : how do you set up a static ip in stateless mode ?

Thanks
