It's not your config issue, gocon didn't support "cons=cyclades", u may have to switch back to conserver.

what kind of switch is this? we don't have one in our test system, will be hard to add this support to goconserver. if you know how to get to console for the switch, you can try create cons for cyclades file here: */opt/xcat/share/xcat/cons/cyclades*

Thanks,

Thanks Casandra

        Cyclades is a Cyclades AlterPath terminal server - While this
is quite old but nice to use. I may look at running both gocons and
conserver but configure our conserver rather manually as it's fairly
stable. I'll check further - thanks for verifying the config!!

Folks here are wondering if goconserver will go away when the go language
becomes deprecated....in a couple years years ;-

yes nodehm.mgt isn't set as it wasn't set for conserver...

[root@opt-mgmt ~]# lsdef r1extreme-a
Object name: r1extreme-a
     cons=cyclades
     consoleenabled=1
     groups=extreme_switch,switch
     postbootscripts=otherpkgs
     postscripts=syslog,remoteshell
     serialflow=hard
     serialport=1
     serialspeed=9600
     termport=1
     termserver=r38cyclades
[root@opt-mgmt ~]#

So this isn't a bad config on my part..??
