Hello everyone,

It has been a while I have asked questions in the forum, hope you all are
well.

Got a couple of questions, would greatly appreciate if you can help out
with all your collective wisdom.

*question #1*
We have xcat version 2.15 MN running on centOS 7.7, and I am looking into
backup/restore of the setup. Currently I am only
using /opt/xcat/sbin/dumpxCATdb to backup the database. I also backup the
/install directory of the system. If there anything else I should be
backing up in the system? How about /tftpboot , all the DNS information?
In case of a total system failure ( of the MN ) , I am thinking about how
to bring the system back to its original working state.

Also, what is the recommended method of restoring a system like this? I
would guess -* a.* build the OS *b.* install base xcat rpms* c.* restore DB
backup *d.* may be restore /tftpboot e. restore /install directory ?

*question #2*
So, we currently have a single network defined to build systems in the MN.
I need to be able to build systems from another network. How does one get
to do this? I assume I can set up another network in the networks table,
create a virtual interface in the MN with that vlan, assign a DHCP scope
and do makedhcp? Would that work? Or do I need to do anything else?

Any help/reference/guidance is very helpful and appreciated.

thanks
