Casandra, thanks. I use "rinstall us5
osimage=ubuntu18.04.5-x86_64-install-compute". The process actually
successfully selects and partitions a disk (/dev/sdb) and creates all the files
systems. Then right in the middle of the installation it prompts me with
"Install the GRUB boot loader". I type in /dev/sdb in the field, and the
installation continues till the end.

After a bit of guesswork and experimentation I figured that the prompt is
thrown only if there are additional drives with partitions present. If those
additional drives are wiped (wipefs -a) prior to rinstall, the prompt isn't
displayed. I googled around but couldn't find any useful into that would help
me understand how to turn that prompting off with extra partitioned drives
present. Unfortunately my knowledge about Ubuntu "preseed" isn't deep enough to
figure this out completely on my own.

Another question is about ssh keys for the root user. Those don't seem to be
installed by default like it happens in CentOS/RHEL. Any pointers?

Thanks,
Michael
