In xCAT 2.16.0 a new option "-n" was added to "bmcdiscover" to change the default BMC password during discovery. ( https://github.com/xcat2/xcat-core/pull/6713)

We had success in implementing an expect script that ran after the bmcsetup script ran that would change the password to our own. However, in the recent batch of nodes, the default password (PASSW0RD) is changed / different. Does anyone know what the new password is? Also, this new policy of having to change the bmc password right away is, to say the least, not convenient. We spend more time now messing with the bmc scripts than deploying the nodes. Is there a procedure or some step that I am missing?
