I have seen this error in a non-xcat context; it means that dracut couldn't find the kernel to load the next phase of the installation (anaconda). At least in my case, there was a problem with the network configuration. Don't get misled here - it's entirely possible that the network configuration initially works when it comes from PXE, but the one dracut sees doesn't (dracut's network configuration comes from the kernel command line, I believe).
