I have xcircuit 3.9.37 in Ubuntu 14.04; installed with tcl enabled (I
think it's 8.6).
There are commands like for example, selecting a bunch of text and
applying text -> style -> Italic, or better "clear page" that do not
refresh the canvas until I click somewhere with the mouse. In the latter
case is very noticeable . . .
I have corrected the "clear page" problem, as well as the snap spacing
half or double that I mentioned in my previous email. However, I did
not find any problem with using Text->Style->Italic. Do you have any
specific instructions on making the problem show up? I just created
some text, copied it a few times, did an area selection, then selected
the menu item Text->Style->Italic, and it refreshed immediately.
Changes were just pushed to the git repository. The tarball will be
available tomorrow.
