Hello Russ,
I installed the 3.8 version from macports, but I don't see the 3.9 version
on macports. Will you be putting the 3.9 version on macports or do I have
to install a different way?
I tried installing from the xcircuit-3.9.46 tarball on your site, but after
the ./configure, it errored out because of missing cairo (redirected output
attached).
Sorry I'm kind of a newbie at this. Could you please steer me in the right
direction with the 3.9 install on MAC OS yosemite (10.10.5)?
Well, I don't compile, post, and maintain ports of xcircuit myself.
Other people do that for me; I just maintain the source.
It sounds like you are doing the right thing with the 3.9 install.
Just use "configure --without-cairo" if you don't have cairo libs on
the Mac.
Since the configure didn't get past the check for cairo, I don't know
if it would find an X11-compatible Tcl/Tk further on in the configuration.
That may be another hurdle to get over.
