I’m in the same boat.  I asked about this back in June/July.  Someone replied 
with this:

If you open the package and double click the executable (in Contents/MacOS) it 
will launch, and it appears to work OK. 

But I’ve been working on something else and haven’t tried it to see if it 
works.
