Yep, it’s good to confirm that I was not the only one having that issue.  I 
have noticed it in the past, found a quick solution (restart the simulator) and 
didn’t check into it any further.

But now I’m curious if this was also an issue in the simulator that shipped 
with Xcode 5.  Anyone remember this being an issue in the Xcode 5 simulator?  I 
don’t think I ever noticed it, but then again that could be when I found the 
solution.
