The only thing I might add: When I first went to copy it to /Applications, the Finder said (after MUCH churning) that I was about to replace a newer item with an older one. I couldn't make sense of the created/modified dates I saw on the two packages (the beta 2 in /Applications and the beta 3 in the .dmg), so I decided to copy it to the Desktop instead, and then compare the two build numbers in the About box. Perhaps it has something to do with launching from the Desktop? I hope not!
Note that THIS is because the Get Info window doesn't show a useful version number. It really needs to show something like 7.0b3, otherwise it's impossible to tell versions apart without launching them, especially when their modification dates seem incorrect. > On Jul 16, 2015, at 07:36 , Joar Wingfors <[email protected]> wrote: > > I’ve heard of a single / very few other reports of this problem.
