I'm watching this tutorial video, and rather amazed at how fast his system
provides code completion options. When I invoke code completion, it can take
two or more seconds to pop up options (not to mention how often it completely
fails to present options).

I'm running on an early 2013 MacBook Pro with SSD. Surely it's fast enough to
handle code completion. But it has always been slow for me. Is there something
I can do to speed it up?
