I’m having a strange problem today with Xcode. Things have been working fine on this machine with this keyboard setup for over a year.
Now, when I type some text, subsequently typing the Right Arrow, Left Arrow, Delete key or Backspace key do nothing when typed by themselves on that line. Xcode also shows a compile error on a blank line after I type something and type Delete/Backspace it. Looking at the text file in another editor, I see that there are invisible characters in the file at those locations. So now my file is corrupted. However, holding Shift and Right/Left Arrow extends the selection. If there is a selection, Delete or Backspace will delete the selection. Tried two different keyboards with no difference. Also don’t see any problems with other text editors (e.g. Mail, TextEdit, Pages, Slack, etc.) Tried restarting Xcode with no luck. Restarted the machine with no luck. Happens on any file in my project. Also happens with other projects I tried. Xcode 7.2 (7C68), OS X 10.11.2 iMac 27” late 2013 das Keyboard and Logitech K740 Any ideas how to get Xcode editor working again?
